A career in the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor is a great honor. Many options exist for you to serve consumers. Financial planning, insurance and investments, some or all of these may resonate with you. The opportunities to build a practice and to create a residual income draw many people into this industry.
The opportunities seldom come without risks, drawbacks, or challenges. First is the licensing hurdle. Depending on your chosen path, you many undertake months of the licensing process. This not only has a monetary cost, but it also has the cost of time, during which many new individuals to this industry face a reduction or loss of income while they are just learning the business.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network, through an arrangement with American Pre-Arrangement Services, Inc. (APASI), offers an opportunity to anyone who wishes to pursue a career in the financial services industry with one of the easiest ways to test the waters.
APASI offers a lifetime membership that provides members, who travel more than 75 miles away from their home, protection in the event of an unexpected death.
This LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP can be paid in a Lump Sum or over 3, 6 or 12 months. The fee is only $525.00 and provides protection all over the world.
Whether or not you ultimately decide to become a Financial Advisor, this is a great opportunity to make additional income or create a whole new career. If you are already selling insurance or other financial products, this is a great option to share with your existing client base.
Please review the information below, and when you are ready hit the contract now button and a representative from The Life Stage Companies will be in touch.

The Life Stage Brokerage Network understands that most advisors who operate successful practices do not have time to “train” new advisors. If you do not have a large staff to train these individuals the ultimate responsibility falls to you. This in turn takes time from your clients and prospects and costs you more than the time.
The solution is to partner with a company that will help you train your advisors in an intense multi-week program. Upon graduation you can be assured that these new advisors have the foundation that you can build on. Keeping this in mind, The Life Stage Brokerage Network has partnered with the Financial Advisor Training Institute (FATI). FATI was designed to take the foundation training off your plate. FATI will train them in all areas a new advisor needs to be successful, allowing you to keep your focus on your clients and prospects.
Many advisors pay new advisors a salary while they learn the job and earn their appropriate licensing. In some cases, during this time these new advisors realize this business is not for them or you realize they are not the right person for your business. FATI helps you mitigate the risk with a cost-effective way to train these advisors.
If you would like to learn how FATI can assist you, feel free to contact us to discuss some strategies you can use to train your new adivsors.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network believes that as an advisor you will remember 2020 for one important reason, technology. Back in 2020, many advisors learned how to put technology to use, specifically in video conferencing, in order to provide a continued way to connect with their prospects and clients. In that year advisors also learned that, with the help of a structured and ongoing educational plan, they could provide value and maintain relationships, even when they could not meet their clients or prospects face to face.
Many advisors feel that they have neither the time, experience, nor expertise to create an ongoing web-based educational class to attract new clients or to further cultivate existing relationships.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network developed for you a solution in the form of Client Webinars. These webinars are designed to educate prospects and clients on an ongoing basis via web-based classes. We offer regularly-scheduled classes that allow you to educate clients on topics like insurance, retirement planning and concepts, and on information from other industries that advisors deal with every day.
These classes are offered as a free service to advisors who hold an active contract with The Life Stage Brokerage Network and can be accessed through the same link each and every week. Simply put, if you see a topic that you want your clients to learn more about, ask them to join the class. Provide the link to your clients, and we take care of the rest.
If you have questions, feel free to contact us for more information.
*Please note: Due to contractual obligations, we can offer this service only to active Life Stage Brokerage advisors and their clients. If you as an advisor do not hold an active contract with The Life Stage Brokerage Network, you and your clients will be excluded from participation in this service. If you would like to participate, please contact us for more information.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network believes that as an advisor continuing to connect with your clients is your #1 responsibility. Historically, the best advisors understand that contact should not always be about business. Live events are a great way to show appreciation for your clients and at the same time conduct a “little” business. Whether you want introductions to new potential clients through the guests your clients invite or trying to reinforce the culture and vision of your practice, this can be an invaluable way to grow your business.
A big problem most advisors have is that of planning and executing live events and remaining focused on their clients in the process. The solution is simple; hire an expert to plan these events and to execute your vision so that you can focus on your clients.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network has agreed to terms with Chasing Events, LLC and Chase Clausen to provide event consulting, planning, and management services. Chase’s experience in event planning coupled with his experience within the financial services industry means that he understands not only the experience that your clients want and appreciate, but he also understands the rules for events that come under FINRA scrutiny.
If you have questions, feel free to contact us for more information.
Whether you are a RIA, Agency, or identify as a FINRA Registered Representative, our relationship with Chase can add meaningful value to you and your business.
*If you are interested in connecting with your clients through live events, please contact us today to learn more.

You can choose all of their services or choose only the parts that you believe need special attention. Chase will work attentively during the planning process to cover all of the details, and will assist you if needed to implement the plan.
Having an event planner on your side ensures that you will save time to focus on what is most important, your clients. With Chase's experience in working within the financial sector he will make your next event unforgettable.
You can hire Chasing Events, LLC to manage your entire event, or pick services from the list below:

The Life Stage Brokerage Network understands that continuing education (CE) is vital for continued service to your clients. We also understand that if you choose to advance your industry education through designations you have additional requirements to meet educational standard. These continuing education requirements vary from state to state and from organization to organization. The Life Stage Brokerage Network is committed to bring you great ways to meet those demands of designations through our commitment to The Society of Financial Service Professionals better known as FSP.
FSP provides continuing education through national webcasts provided by FSP National; as well as opportunities to earn CE through live meetings held monthly through local chapters. As the name implies, this is not only open to Financial Advisors, but it also allows other professionals such as attorneys and accountants to meet their industry requirements.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network encourages you to consider membership in order to meet your CE requirements for not only your state insurance licenses but also for any designations that you may hold. We also encourage you to check out our industry solutions page for all of the other benefits an FSP Membership can provide including discounts on items to operate your business to benefits to provide to your employees. Sometimes Financial Advisors need assistance in locating tools or services that they can use within their practice. Generally, these tools are in the form of technologies or services that enhance planning and risk management, explain financial concepts, or provide a way to manage communication from advisors to their clients. Financial advisors, who have built or want to build an environment that attracts and retains employees, might spend hours researching ways to develop a benefit and educational program to keep their employees engaged and satisfied.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network understands the time-consuming nature of research. And unless you have a dedicated staff person that focuses on this research, you may feel overwhelmed trying to put together everything your practice needs.
The goal of this page is to provide each advisor who is part of The Life Stage Brokerage Network an opportunity to explore some of the most popular solutions used in the industry today.
Please review our recommended resources. Also, if you currently use a program or service that you find helpful and would like to recommend it to us to include in our resource catalog, please contact us with your recommendation. EMAIL LSB WITH YOUR RECOMMENDATION

Financial advisors realize that connecting with prospects to develop a client base is important to their career. In the beginning, advisors use marketing to obtain clients and to build their book of business. As their practice matures, advisors may use marketing to unlock other sources of revenue or to enhance name recognition for their company. Finally, with a practice at full maturity, advisors use marketing to reinforce the value of their name and the reasons why clients should maintain their relationship with them. Advisors also use marketing to encourage the next generation to continue to establish a relationship with them.
Marketing is a full-time job, and for many of advisors the marketing of the business takes up way too much valuable time, time that could otherwise be spent focusing on their clients and actually doing what advisors get paid to do. Researching and finding the right marketing services for their practice is one of the biggest challenges for most advisors. No matter the stage your practice, The Life Stage Brokerage Network is dedicated to assisting you in your quest to find the right marketing system for you.
Our goal is to keep you up to date on services that you can use to fully implement an efficient and repeatable marketing plan. No matter the stage of your practice, the development of a marketing plan may determine how fast you grow and how effective you are at maintaining your clients.

In 1972, Ryan Petersen was born in Carroll, Iowa. He was raised in the nearby town of Audubon. And while in school, Ryan was active in the Boy Scouts and in numerous sports, including football and wrestling.
In 1990, Ryan graduated from high school and became a firefighter, enlisting in the U.S. Air Force.
In 1992, Ryan married his high school sweetheart, Ms. Rebecca Stohlmann.
After serving one assignment in Idaho and two assignments in Germany, Ryan was selected to attend Officer Training School (OTS), and he earned his commission in January 2001. Ryan graduated OTS as a Second Lieutenant, after which he served as project manager for satellite programs. Over the next decade, Ryan served assignments in Albuquerque NM, Los Angeles CA, and Colorado Springs CO.
From September 2010 to September 2011, Ryan deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In 2012, after 22 years of service, Ryan retired from the US Air Force at the rank of Major. His awards and decorations included the Bronze Star, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.
After his retirement from the U.S. Air Force in 2012, Ryan, Rebecca, and their two children (Landon and Cora) remained in Colorado Springs, CO. Ryan picked up his real estate license and went to work specializing in Residential Property Management. Ryan and Rebecca also remained active in their local community, volunteering with the Boy Scouts and their local church. They enjoyed the many outdoor activities that Colorado offers, especially hiking the beautiful mountain trails.
Things were looking up for Ryan and his family.
On Sunday, March 7th, 2021, an unexpected event occurred that changed Ryan’s life for the unforeseeable future.
Ryan suffered a rare spinal stroke that left him paralyzed from the chest down. After spending three months in the Denver VA Hospital’s Spinal Cord Injury Center under acute rehab, Ryan was now confined to a wheelchair as a quadriplegic.
Ryan and Rebecca are still active in their local church, and they still enjoy hiking the beautiful mountain trails. — But now, no longer having the freedom of movement that he once enjoyed, they are limited to only those trails that he can access via wheelchair.
Ryan continues with his rehabilitative efforts and fully expects to walk again someday.
Listen to Ryan in his own words as he describes his story ... how he is having to deal with his new normal ... how his spinal stroke and confinement to a wheelchair now impact him and his family ... and what some of the things that he wishes he could have done to prepare for a paralyzing event so life-changing and unexpected as this was.
Ryan’s story is just one example of how proper planning with disability coverage can help minimize the impact of an unexpected debilitating event for you, your family, and your business practice.

Contact UsThe burden of final expenses for many families is an issue. Inflation causes the costs of some of the expenses at death to increase over a period-of-time and just compounds the problems for the ones left behind. Traditional life insurance such as term or participating whole life can be expensive at older ages and unfortunately many people do not qualify based on their health.
The Life Stage Brokerage Network understands these issues. We have partnered with Great Western Insurance Company for the solution.
The Great Western final expense plan provides a low-cost option to provide anywhere from $5,000 to $40,000 of coverage. The product is designed to insure anyone based on his or her health status. If your client is in great health, they can take advantage of immediate coverage for the full amount.
If you have a client that has some or severe health issues, the same plan offers opportunities to still get coverage in force and provide a partial benefit for a short period of time. No matter what, your clients will have peace of mind with respect to their final expenses.
Find Out MoreYou’ve likely heard of long term care coverage, right? It can be the single most important coverage consumers should own. Yet Financial Advisors, Agents, and Planners struggle with offering this type of coverage to clients.
The key issues with long term care insurance are cost and health. Clients need to be relatively healthy and relatively wealthy to buy this coverage. No matter whether your clients are healthy or not, long term care insurance is expensive, stemming from the costs of care in facilities. If your clients are dealing with pre-exiting conditions, then even if they can afford the cost, the insurance company may determine the risk too high and rate, modify, or deny the coverage all together.
Understanding that advisors need another solution to consider, we have teamed with MedMutual Protect for this solution. When most people hear the words “long term care”, their minds usually turn to a care type facility. The fact is this, most care is provided at home.
This type of Home Health Care coverage is not traditional long term care insurance, and it provides benefits only to care in the home. The coverage is designed to be a low-cost solution for anyone who does not have existing coverage because of price or health status; and provides robust benefits and services that you would find in a care facility. Premiums and coverage vary from state to state, but no matter the state; underwriting is the same. There are only TWO knock out questions and most people qualify. If you want to provide robust protection for your clients at a low net cost, consider this Home Health Care solution. The Life Stage Brokerage Network will be happy to assist.
